SYNOPSIS

Remember the fabulous 50’s & 60’s?  Those were the days of  malt shops, sock hops, and rock ‘n’ roll.  The airwaves were filled with great songs and lots of laughs, and everyone tuned in to hear their favorite DJ’s broadcasting live from the hottest spot in town. Now those memorable days make a triumphant return in Act Two Production’s delightful new show entitled, “On the Air!”

Presented as a “live broadcast” over fictional oldies station KDOG-AM, (“the nifty 950”) this unique production captures the wonderful music and memories of that unforgettable era.  The show features T.A. Burrows, Laurie Ehlers, and Suzanne Hickey as the station's off-beat on-air personalities, who host the fun-filled festivities.

This multi-talented trio also performs 21 popular rock ‘n’ roll tunes, including chart toppers by such artists as The Drifters, Bobby Darin, The Platters, Connie Francis, Elvis and more.  And between the songs, they keep the audience entertained with witty banter and hilarious comedy routines including a reprise of Abbott & Costello’s legendary “Who’s On First?”

With classic songs, a ton of laughs, and lots of audience participation, “On the Air!” is more than just another night of nostalgia; it’s a fabulous “blast from the past” where the hits (and the laughs) just keep on coming!
